A growing and leading sporting goods brand in Houston, TX is looking for a English/Chinese speaking International Buyer to join our team. The International Buyer is responsible for vendor management, purchasing/buying, monitor product quality control, and sourcing.

Duties and Responsibilities:

·       Develop and maintain supplier relationship to ensure goods and services are delivered in a timely manner

·       Propose actions, strategy with vendor accounts using analytical skills

·       Evaluate account performance and foresee status change

·       Revolve claims and process payments

·       Negotiate price and services accordance to Purchasing policies and guidelines

·       Forecast price trends and analyze cost structure to propose buying volume

·       Enforce product drawing/spec and proper packaging is used by factory

·       Generate product inspection standard

·       Obtain product samples to initiate testing of product quality

·       Promote company’s image and expand sourcing contact list

Qualifications and Requirements:

·       Proficient in Mandarin  speaking and writing

·       Chinese character typing skill preferred

·       10+ years purchasing experience

·       15+ years working experience

·       Able to travel oversea on a regular basis (Minimum 40% travel)

·       Long term commitment required

·       Strong analytical and problem solving skills

·       Excellent communication skills

·       Proficient in MS Office

·       Strong interpersonal skills, self-motivated, and driven to achieve professional success
